What is Camp Stitch?

Camp Stitch is a volunteer organised sewing camp that begun simply by one of our volunteers saying “Let’s start a sewing camp!” Our volunteers are enthusiastic and passionate about the sewing community and are hoping to provide an inclusive, creative event where you can build friendships with like-minded sewists. Camp Stitch Sydney will be a three-day function where campers will get the opportunity to relive the classic school camp experience while immersing themselves in a friendly, supportive environment. Campers will take part in a sewing workshop run by esteemed sewing teachers with the focus on gaining new skills, rather than a completed garment. 

Camp Stitch will provide most of the supplies needed for your classes (subject to your workshop enrolment), however, all attendees must BYO sewing machine.

There will be classic camp activities throughout the weekend, see the schedule for more information. Accommodation will be dorm style in bunks to help foster a sense of community and keep camp affordable for all sewists.
